It was the marketing day @ my college and we were supposed to go to streets and sell the products (Educational toys for kids) for a NGO and had to raise funds for them along with one more activity, which is done for Kathi craft, to sell their natural 'Kashmiri' honey.
I was not hoping that I would be able to sell off all the inventories which was given to me. Since, I had to hit the street to pitch for the items without knowing the local language and am a kind of person who feels shy to approach any stranger. . I thought it would be tough nut to crack and was skeptical about selling half the items even . But it didn't go that way. It was an interesting day. I had fun in doing the sales and I enjoyed every aspect of the role which I did.

STATe IS TrICS!!
Suddenly, I enjoy reading stats. I could relate statistics to everyday activity in my life. Its fun to understand the concept and learn.
I am a independent random variable who is a peculiar and interesting sample among the weird population. :P
--- It was just early days, when I blogged those lines above. Statistics is interesting but at the same time, it's very huge. Its time to pull up my socks and to start preparing seriously.

10th of July - 2 siddhivinayak temple
Got up late @ 10 in the morning. It was yet another day, when I have skipped my breakfast!!
I just did wile away the time till 12.30, It is the time at which the lunch is served in my mess. I was very hungry and rushed to the mess as the first person and to the dismay it was aaloo and roti again, the 'duo'. Though, I was not interested to eat, I had to fill my tummy, for having the stamina to sit for next 3 hrs in the class . There was some lime juice served, which I felt that it would console me a bit.
My roomie accompanied me and we were soon joined by our friends and class mates. We were having our lunch and were discussing about the commitee shortlist for the next round, which was announced earlier in the morning. Most of my friends had a short list from one or other of the 8 commitees. Luckily or unluckily, I din't get any shortlist. I was little upset that I din't get a SL from the commitee which I most anticipated. Anyway, I felt lucky, that I am not bonded to any group and can always keep my options open to anything that comes to me. I wished the guys who got a SL and started my stride towards the admin block. My fin prof was already in the class and was giving some gyan to the enthus, who always ponder with all kinds of questions. My intent in the class was to just wile away those 3 hrs. Inspite, I tried hard to get a grasp of things he was teaching. Srini told that he and Micky were planning to go to 'Siddi Vinayak' temple and asked if I am joining them. I too thought that of to start all my proceedings in my MBA after a visit to the temple .(btw 'Vinayakar' is my favourite god after 'Perumal').
We planned to use suburban train from Kanjurmarg station, which is the best means to reach Siddhivinayak temple. We took an auto from Powai to Kanjurmarg. It was pouring heavily throughout till we reached the station. Micki stood in queue and got us the for to and fro journey. It was the 1st time, when I used the Mumbai suburban railways, which is known for the crowd. Where there will be swarm of travellers who can help u in getting into the train and getting out without you putting any efforts to it. To my surprise there was hardly any crowd in the train which arrived. We boarded and were speaking about politics, management, peoples across India, movie reviews.. everything that came to our mind. To say the truth, those 2 were awesome.. They knew everything and I was a dumbass and could just nod my head for what they were giving forth. Our stop was 7 stations from where we boarded. It was pleasant speaking to those guys. We reached the temple in 10 min by travelling on foot. We had a nice darshan and it was a pleasant evening for me and was very happy to start of my journey towards my career.
We decided to take an bus from the temple to station and we reached the station and was amazed to see the crowd buzzing @ 10 in the night. Trains were heavily crowded and I was really scared to board the train. It was the same with my friends also and we decided to wait for the next train. It was the same case with the next train too. :) Micky had his interview for commitee selection that night and we decided that it is useless waiting for the crowd to clear. We made our minds to board whatever train that comes next. We were lucky that the 3rd train was less crowded and we boarded happily and we made our journey towards kanjurmarg. BTW we had our dinner before boarding the train in one of the udupi hotels near the station. We had Dosa and it was nice to see the shape after a very long time, though its hardly a month since I left my home. It was a pleasant day as a whole and in the trip I learnt quite a few hindi words, which I will be posting soon.
P.S: It will be really interesting to write down every day of my life in this blog but at the same time its a tiring job and also I can spend this time on something more constructive. From now on, I will be restricting to important events and happenings around me and ofcourse I will be recording all the Hindi words, which I learn here.
Happy day!
